Our Philosophy

Sydney Family Day Care Scheme (SFDCS) aims to provide a strong partnership between children, their families and our educators. Our educational programs will foster children’s active involvement in the learning process and will provide for their needs and interest in the context of
their own world in which they live. It is accepted that the environment is the third teacher (Reggio Amelia – Theorist in early childhood education) and so this will be an integral part of the program.

Experiences are developmentally appropriate and open ended. The materials provided will foster the children’s creativity and imagination.

We believe that the key elements in providing high quality care is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children, healthy eating practices, embracing a child's individual culture and identifying and programming for each individual child.

We constantly work hard to provide a safe and nurturing environment that respects and values children and individuals. Our Family Day Care Services aim to provide opportunities for children to made connections and develop relationships as they learn about the world around them. Our
educators facilitate the development of positive self-esteem, foster curiosity and problem-solving, and acknowledge their creativity, spirituality and cultural adversity.

More importantly, we value each and every child's unique needs, interests and culture, and strive to foster an inclusive environment where no child is left behind.
